Eileen Lockwood

Dover - Eileen Lockwood, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Eileen was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Dover to the late, Owen and Ethel (Cosden) Evans. She grew up in Dover, and attended the Dover Public School System, graduating from Dover High School. Eileen then went on to further her education, attending college in Columbia, Mo.
Eileen has lived in Lady Lake, Fla., mainly to be close to her mother so they could visit, but has spent most of her life living in Delaware.
She is a member of the People's Church of Dover; where she married her late husband, Dick Lockwood on Oct. 19, 1957. In her free time, she enjoyed doing needlepoint, knitting, reading, playing Solitaire and Suduko on her I-Pad, being on Facebook, and volunteering at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. But her favorite thing to do, was spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandson.
Eileen is survived by her three children, Richard Lockwood and wife, Donna, of Vorhees, N.J., Cheryl Goldsmith and husband, Steve, of Camden, and James Lockwood and wife, Chrisi, of Claymont; her brother, Phil Evans, and wife, Ruth, who split time between Hickory, N.C. and Water Oaks, Fla.; her grandchildren, Kristen Lockwood, Kevin Lockwood, MaryBeth Andrews and her husband, Mike, Jenny Goldsmith, Kati Lockwood, and Noah Lockwood; and her great-grandson, Ethan Andrews.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. A private burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
