TOWNSEND - Edwin J. "Eddie" Tippitt, 51, of Townsend, passed away May 9, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wanda; his son, Edwin Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Angela, both of Smyrna; his nephew, Billy Thomas, of Clayton, whom he raised; two granddaughters, Kayla and Hailey; and three sisters, Virginia Foraker and Mary LeCates and Mildred Carducci. A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, May 14, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown.
