HARRINGTON - Edwin J. Bauer, of Harrington, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at home, with his loving wife by his side. He was 70.
Mr. Bauer was born in Hoboken, N.J., son of the late John and Helen Bauer.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bauer retired from the Honeywell Corp. in New Jersey as a superintendent.
He made electronic components for planes, working alongside his wife.
In his spare time, Mr. Bauer enjoyed gardening and working on his lawn.
He also enjoyed spending time with his neighbors, who happened to take him and his wife in as their extended family.
Mr. Bauer will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband who was inseparable from his loving wife.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Bauer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Eunice Bear of Harrington.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Delaware Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Millsboro.
Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
