Edward S. Finkle, of Dover, passed away due to complications of Covid on May 15, 2021 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover.
Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Irvin and Nanette Finkle. Ed was a graduate of Claymont High School and Florida International College of Kissimmee. He served in the U.S.A.F. from 1968 until 1972, where Ed was stationed in Thailand as an aircraft electrician. After being honorably discharged, Ed made Delaware his permanent home. Through the years Ed worked in sales, most recently with Hertrich Auto Group. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, going on cruises, barbecues, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Finkle; stepdaughters: Alaina Cravens, Elizabeth Kozlowski, Melissa Mann, Katrina Dempsey; and sons Gregory Finkle, Jeffrey Finkle and Michael Finkle. Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20th at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE where a visitation will be offered from 1 p.m. until 3p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be private in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
