Edward S. Caldwell

MILTON - Edward S. Caldwell, formerly of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away peacefully on Feb. 18, 2017.
Edward was an avid outdoorsman, skilled craftsman, and loved spending time with his family.
Edward is preceded in death by his stepfather, Barry Weldon; his father-in-law, Robert Gill; and his niece, Desiree Gill.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; daughters, Jennifer Smith, and SaraBeth Caldwell (Alton); his grandchildren, Antoine, Tyrone JR, Asayshia, Day'ja, Aiden, Adriana, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Amaiya and Laylah; his father, William, and mother, Linda; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Gill; his brothers, Kelly Weldon and Billy Caldwell; his sisters, Kim Caldwell and Cheryl Bossert (Joel). He is also survived by his best friend, Jim Welu; several nieces; and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968, where friends may call after 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home, to help defray funeral expenses: Short Funeral Services, PO Box 233, Milton, DE 19968.
