Edward Figgs

MILFORD - Edward Figgs, of Milford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Christiana Medical Center. He was 75. Mr. Figgs was born in Dagsboro, the son of the late Edward W. Figgs and Reba Mae (Carter) Figgs. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army. He worked in the maintenance dept. for the State Of Delaware at the Stockley Center in Georgetown for 20 years. He was a member of the Church of God A.W.A. in Delmar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Figgs; and a brother, Billy Hollaway. He is survived by wife of 45 years, Sharon Figgs; daughter, Beverly Muench and her husband Carl; sister, Virginia Marsh; three grandchildren, Kelsea Figgs, David Muench and MaKaylah Muench; brother-in-law, Richard Rutter and his wife Joyce; sister-in-law, Linda Biskup and her husband Bob; brother-in law, Martin Rutter and his wife Bonny; brother-in-law, Bob Shriver; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
