HARBESON - Edward E. Callaway, of Harbeson, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, in Millsboro.

Edward was retired from the state of Delaware.

He was a lay minister and worked with the Salvation Army for many years. He also ministered to churches and nursing homes.

Edward loved playing musical instruments.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Blanche L. Callaway; and Viola G. Callaway, his wife of 62 years, who passed away in 2006.

He is survived by a niece, Mildred V. Drew of Millsboro; a good friend, Mike Becker of Millsboro; his brothers, Howard Callaway of New Castle and Herbert Callaway of Florida; his sisters, Florence Terry of New Castle and Mildred Tamone of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 4315 Highway One, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; or Compassionate Care Hospice, 31038 Country Garden Blvd., Suite D2, Dagsboro, DE 19939.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.
