GALENA, Md. - Edward C. Walters Jr. of Galena died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. He was 64.

Edward was born April 19, 1942, son of E. Clark Sr. and Blanch (Williams) Walters of Galena.

He graduated from Goldey-Beacom College as an accountant.

During his career, he worked for Granger and Faw Accounting Firm, P.M. Brooks and Son, Burton Chevrolet and for 14 years with Harry Rudnick and Son, which he later owned for five years. He was a licensed real estate agent with Sassafras Realty.

Edward was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee and was active with the United Methodist Men. His past memberships include Christ Church in Chestertown, the Chestertown"s J.C"s, and Lions, Galena Lions where he was past president, Galena Volunteer Fire Co., Galena Planning and Zoning Board and the Kent County Election Board.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 42 years Edwina "Winnie" (Walls) Walters; two sons, David "WaWa" Walters and Dennis and his wife Kari Walters; a brother, Richard Walters; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Walters and Gracie Walters, all of Galena.

Friends may call Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, where funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m.

Burial in Galena Cemetery.
