Edward Archer

WYOMING - Edward Archer, 92, of Wyoming, died on Oct. 4, 2010. Born in Simpson, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Rutkowski Archer. Mr. Archer served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He had been a chemist with Gibraltor Chemical of Lodi, N.J., retiring in 1972. Mr. Archer enjoyed football and in his quieter moments he cherished the time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, Mr. Archer was predeceased by his wife, Marion Kalsinski Archer. He is survived by his loving daughter, Arlene Knopf and husband Larry Knopf of Wyoming; two brothers, Sylvester Archer of California, and Vincent Archer of Simpson, Pa.; half sister, Sylvia Tur of Simpson, Pa.; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Entombment will be in the Holy Saviour Cemetery, York, Pa. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover. Condolences may be sent and Guest Book signed via www.ambruso.com
