Edward "Tom, Pat, Ed" A. Thompson passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Mr. Thompson was born March 17, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Alton E. and Kathleen M. Thompson (McArthur). While serving in the USAF he met, and is survived by, his dedicated and caring wife of 58 years, Florence 'Flo' J. Thompson, of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Dorothy "Dot" M. Rost, of Orange, Texas; daughter, Janet M. Thompson-Gill and son-in law John M. Gill, of Dover; sons, Jack E. Thompson, of Las Vegas, Nev., and James "Jim" A. Thompson, of Dover, who will always be "#1 Son"; grandson, Jamie P. Gill of Clayton; granddaughters, Jennifer J. Houseman and her husband Brock A. Houseman, of Hartly, and Jillian A. Thompson, of Lincoln, Neb.; step-grandson Anthony A. Castro and his wife Jennifer Castro; and great-grandson, Noah C. Thompson, of Lincoln, Neb. Memorial donations may be made to the Kessler Foundation for Traumatic Brain Injury Research www.kesslerfoundation.org.
