Edrie Lucille Knotts

DOVER - Edrie Lucille Knotts, of Dover, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Edrie was born, Aug. 1, 1929 in Crumpton, Md., to the Late, Carroll P. & Bertha Mae(Foxwell) Cohey. In her younger years, Edrie worked for I.L.C. sewing spacesuits. It was a passion she continued throughout her life, sewing anything from clothing to bowling bags. She was very family oriented, either helping her husband with the farm, or enjoying spending time with her family whom she loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter, Janice Knotts Thomson; and her siblings, Dorothy, Samuel, and Perkins. Edrie is survived by two sons, Frank A. Knotts, and Jimmy Arrington, both of Bridgeville; two sisters, Peggy Letterman, of Harrington, and Jeanette Cohey, of Bridgeville; Six grandchildren, Andrea L. Knotts, Caroline A. Pickard, Keith Layton, Caitlin L. Knotts, Amanda V. Carroll, and Trisha Arrington; four great-grandchildren, Jansen F. Pickard, Michaela A. Sawyer, Jacob & Caleb Striggow; and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in Pippin Funeral Home,Inc. , 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, De; where family and friends may view from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in Sandtown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE. 19901. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
