Earl O. Owen, 77

MARYDEL - Earl O. Owen of Marydel died of natural causes Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, in his home. He was 77.

Mr. Owen was born Aug. 9, 1929, in New Blaine, Ark., son of the late Lloyd and Georgia (Housley) Owen.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He had worked for Middlewest Motor Freight Bureau, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Owen enjoyed his retirement, spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd C. Jones and Gayle D. Owen.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Owen; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Lonnie Jones of Kearns, Utah, Roger and Pat Owen of Dardanelle, Ark., Charles Owen, and James and Lucy Owen, all of New Blaine, and Ray and Jean Owen of Delaware, Ark.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Cantrell of Blue Springs, Mo., Patricia Owen of Independence, Mo., and Donna and Garry Turner of Dardanelle; and 19 nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md.
