Dustin Allen Cornish

Milford - Dustin Allen Cornish died at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born in Milford, Del. on June 10, 1987, son of Allen Cornish and Debra Butler. He graduated from Milford High School, class of 2005. He started working at Meding's Seafood Restaurant at the age of 14 and worked there until his death. Dustin was very mechanically inclined. He loved building engines and restoring older vehicles. He especially loved his Ford Mustang, which he completely rebuilt, including building his own engine for it. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the beach. He and his brother worked together in tree services and cutting firewood. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Daniel William Butler, Sr. and his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Carter. He is survived by his parents, Allen and Debra of Milford; his brother, Dwight Cornish and his wife Rachel of Magnolia; maternal grandmother, Thelma Butler; paternal grandfather, Marcus Lloydel; aunts, Ann Truitt, Cheryl Kelly, Joan Layton; uncles, Daniel William Butler, Jr., Dwight Carter and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dustin had a special bond with the Meding family. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. Funeral services will be Monday, April 27, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Delaware where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be in Milford Community Center. A celebration of his life will follow interment at the South Bowers Fire Hall.
