FAIRLAND, Ind. - Dru W. Hunsinger left this earth on Jan. 16, 2018. He was born on June 7, 1957. Dru was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 30 and was an inspiration to his family and friends as he battled this disease. Although his body failed him, he used his incredible and witty mind to study cures, tell jokes, keep up with what was going on the lives of others and the world. He was the lover of the outdoors, animals, and the social gatherings. Dru was admired for his blacksmithing and farrier skills. He enjoyed using his computer to communicate through emails and social media and wrote stories about hunting and fishing.
Dru was preceded by his parents, Janet and Stanley Hunsinger; nephew, Lincoln Hunsinger; and his beloved dog, Larry. He survived by his amazing companion of 32 years, Jean Biesiadecki; his mother's companion, Frank Gonzales; brothers, Scott Hunsinger (companion Nina Muccillo), Randy Hunsinger; sisters, Kim Hunsinger Wilkins (Bob), Hollis Hunsinger Brazier (companion Marc Shultz) and Sara Hunsinger; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dru, we hope you are running and jumping somewhere wonderful and we will forever miss your beautiful spirit and infectious smile. In Dru's memory you may make a donation to the MS Society or Habitat of Humanity. A celebration of his life will be held a later date.
