Dr. Janet Diedra Sang-Blodgett

DOVER - Dr. Janet Diedra Sang-Blodgett passed away Aug. 2, 2017, at Kent General Hospital. Janet was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Brownsville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Blodgett.
She was a graduate of the University of Maryland and received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in May of 1976, her Master's of Counseling in Jun. 1981 and PhD is Psychology in May of 2006. She used her education and experience in her career, retiring after over 20 years of service working as a counselor for the State of Delaware. Janet enjoyed her winters with her late husband, Allen, in South Padre Island, Texas. She had many passions to include: family, church, travel and education. In her spare time she lived life to the fullest gardening, crafting, making jewelry, cooking & baking, pottery and attending book club.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Stogner (Jerry) and Pam Herrmann (Doug); grandchildren, Daniel Stogner (Theresa), Tory Stogner, Katie Kenton (Brandon) and Billy Washington (Star); great-grandchildren, Isaac and Mena Stogner, Hayden and Grace Kenton and Sadie Washington; and a brother, Bob Sang (Bobbie).
Funeral Service Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, 1 p.m. at Calvary Church, 1141 Lebanon Rd., Dover, where friends may call beginning at 12 p.m. Interment to follow in Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dover.
