Dover stayed alive in the Senior League baseball District I tournament with an 8-4 win over Smyrna-Clayton on Thursday evening.
Dover (2-1) is slated to face Milford (1-1) on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Camden-Wyoming.
Camden-Wyoming (1-0) hosts MOT (2-0) at 6 p.m. on Friday in the winners’ bracket finals in Little League’s division for 14-16 year olds. The winner advances to Sunday night’s district finals.
The district champion earns a spot in the state tournament, which starts on July 7 at Newark National.
On Thursday, Malyki Holtzmen hit a solo home run for Dover with Caleb Darling pitching the first five innings. Relievers Jakyi Jenkins and Bryce Jenks closed out the game.
Mid-Sussex won the title in Sussex County’s District III with a 10-0 win over Cape on Thursday night.
