Douglas R. Thomas

ELLENDALE - Douglas "Dickie" R. Thomas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Chestertown, Md. on Apr. 12, 1948 the son of Samuel P. and Mary Hammond Thomas.
Dickie had many talents, who loved to go hunting and fishing, refinishing guns, making things out of deer antlers, and butchering deer. He would help anybody in need.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, Rebecca Eaton, David Sr., William, and John Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Catherine Buckley Thomas; three daughters, Tina Eberhart of Parsonsburg, Md., Sonya Orr of Utah, and Melissa (Mark) Hrobar of Preston, Md.; four step-children, Terry (Andy) Cosgrove of Laurel, Cindy (Oran) White of Bridgeville, Linda (Ray) Johnson of Laurel, and Lee (Jackie) Clarkson of Milford; six grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 25 step-grandchildren; and a sister, Debbie Thomas of Seaford.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market Street, Greenwood, DE 19950, a viewing will be held one hour prior.
Interment will be held at Oakley Cemetery in Ellendale.
