SMYRNA - Douglas James 'DJ' Marshall, of Smyrna, died on Thurs., Nov. 11, 2010, at his home. He was 38. Mr. Marshall was born March 3, 1972, in Dover, the son of Jimmy Marshall of Clayton, and the late Kathy Lambertson Mitchell. The number three was always his lucky number as he was born on 3/3 at 3:33 a.m. He worked for several years as a self-employed Waterman, as well as working in the construction industry. DJ loved crabbing and being out in the water and he loved taking his daughters to the park and taking care of them. He was a good father and a very active dad. He enjoyed playing football and wrestling during his school years and he also enjoyed racing motorcycles on flat tracks. DJ was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan ever since he was six years old. He was a proud member of Leipsic Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a baby brother, Eric; paternal grandparents, Eugenia and Everett Marshall; and maternal grandmother, May Lambertson. He is survived by his father and step mother, Kim; also his beloved wife, Jaime Dawn Marshall; two daughters, Phoebe Dawn Marshall and Isabella Grace Marshall, both at home in Smyrna; a baby boy on the way, to be named Douglas James Marshall, Jr.; his other mom, Yvonne Marshall of Clayton who raised him; sister, Vickie Collins of Smyrna; grandfather, Delbert Lambertson of Dover; and several aunts and uncles, Virginia Davis, Carol Krum, David Lambertson, and Janice Green; and extended family members. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tues., Nov. 16, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Visitation for family and friends will be held before the services from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome
