Dorothy (Travis) Short, 95

MILTON - Dorothy (Travis) Short, of Milton, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 95.

Mrs. Short was born May 19, 1913, daughter of the late Nolan and Rosalie (Blades) Travis.

She was a longstanding member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach.

Mrs. Short also was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Lioness Club and a former member of Rebekah's Lodge.

She devoted her life to her children and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Short in 1990; her son, Travis Short; two grandsons, Steven Holland and Ralph Morgan; two sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Morgan and her husband Richard and Carol Holland, all of Millsboro, and Bonnie Schuyler and her husband Bill of Milton; three grandchildren, Lisa Sloan, John "J.C." Holland and Laurie Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Carolyn Morgan, Joshua Morgan and Christopher Sloan; two great-great-grandchildren Daniel and Haven Morgan; nieces and nephews, James Travis, Donald Travis, Pat Burton, Evelyn Roberts and Ronald DeLong.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach.

The Rev. Jonathan Baker will be officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
