Dorothy H. Pollard

Dorothy H. Pollard passed away after a long illness, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76. Mrs. Pollard was born Jan. 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Alfred C. and Anna May (Hartly) Creed. Dorothy retired from Midway Slots in Harrington. She enjoyed professional wrestling, dancing, singing Loved working at Hardee's. In addition to both parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Mae Pollard, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by four children, son, John Pollard of Woodside; daughters, Barbara Pollard of Greensboro; Addie Pollard Davis of Ellendale; and Katherine Pollard of Henderson; three sisters, Martha Creed Wells of Fla., Frances Creed Buckle of Milton, Lois Creed of Milford; and a brother, John Creed of Milford; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Saturday, April 9, 2016 At Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming where a viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be sent to www.pippinfuneralhome.com
