Dorothy Elsie "Dot" (Meredieth) Pepper, 80

CAMDEN - Dorothy Elsie "Dot" (Meredieth) Pepper of Camden died Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Silver Lake Center, Dover. She was 80.

She was born May 9, 1927, in Goldsboro, Md., daughter of the late James L. and Elsie (Roe) Meredieth.

Dorothy lived all her life in Delaware. She was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, class of 1946.

She married Donald Taylor Pepper Nov. 14, 1946, and enjoyed 47 years of marriage, until Donald passed away March 18, 1993.

Dorothy was the bookkeeper for their electric business, Donald T. Pepper Electric Contractor.

She was always willing to help anyone in need, never asking anything in return.

Dorothy was a member of Dover Modern Maturity, Harvest Years and Black Forest Snowmobiling Club in Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed snowmobiling, crocheting, camping, reading, TV game shows, bingo and animals. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing her dishes with family and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Edward Pepper, in 1972; three sisters and a brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Louise Boyd and her husband Kenny of Camden, and Peggy Ann Knotts of Erie, Pa.; a son, Frank Owen Pepper of Hartly and his fiancee Linda Marker; a sister, E. Louise Pepper and her husband George of Marydel; and her companion, Mitzie.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours before services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
