Dorothy Cecelia Elliott Mosley

Elliott Mosley FELTON - Dorothy Cecelia Elliott Mosley departed this life on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Bay Health Medical Center in Milford. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Elliott, was born on October 25, 1932 in Frederica. Dorothy graduated from Delaware State College High School in 1950. In 1951 she entered and served in the U.S. Air Force. Dorothy married Millard Mosley, Jr. of Felton, on August 22, 1953 in Shreveport, La. She then became a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother the rest of her life. Dorothy was a member of John Wesley United Church for many years and the Frederica Senior Center. Her hobbies were reading, gardening in her younger years, and watching television, especially "All My Children." She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard; her daughter Cheryl (Stanley) Monts; and two brothers, Everett (Delores) Elliott and Delbert Elliott. Dorothy leaves to mourn two sons, Ronald Mosley, and Jerome Mosley; a daughter, Paula (Avery) Mosley; two sisters, Evelyn Burton and Ruth (Bernard) Pinkett; two brothers, Nutter (Dora) Elliott and Russell Elliott; grandchildren, Tyrone Mosley, Jason (Tamara) Monts, Randy Mosley, Samantha Monts; a great grandchild, Aryanna; and a host of loving nieces and nephews as well as many friends made over the years. Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at the John Wesley United Church, Milford, where viewing will be two hours earlier. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
