Doris M. Thompson

CAMDEN- Our dear mother Doris, M. Thompson, passed away Monday, May 1st, 2017, at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Claymont to the late Bernharet and Yetta Yerkie. After attending Caesar Rodney High School, she married Marvin H. Thomson and together they had three boys, Robert, Ronald and Rick; and then later came three grandsons, Lee, Chase, Kyle; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Anna, and Katie.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her boys and grandchildren and in her younger years, snowmobiling, jeep racing, camping, gardening, cooking, trap shooting, water skiing and spending time at the beach.
She was a member of the Delaware Four Wheelers, founded by her late husband and participated in her younger years in the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department Woman's Auxiliary functions and a member of Silver Lake Sportsman club.
Life services will he held this Friday, May 5, 2017, at 1p.m., at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. She will be buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery next to Marvin. The reception will be at the Magnolia Fire House.
Memorial contributions can be sent to The Thompson Family at 3444 S. State St., Camden, DE 19934, and excess funds will be donated to the Magnolia Fire Department. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
