TOWNSEND - Doris L. Vest passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at her residence. Born August 24, 1968 in Newark to the late Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Collins. Doris enjoyed watching eagles on the nature trail, keeping her flower garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren and spending time with her friends. She is survived by her companion James Eskridge of Townsend; her son Howard Blanchfield of Richardson, Texas; her son Kevin Vest of Townsend; her daughter Kim Vest of Townsend; three stepdaughters, Georgeanna Walters of Townsend, Joanna Eskridge of Newark, and Deanna McClain of Newark; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Mark Collins and William Collins both of Dover. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday Evening, Oct. 29th at 8 pm at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Middletown Relay for Life, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, Del. 19720.
