Mrs. Harris was born May 22, 1935, in Williamsville, daughter of Myrtle I. Harrington and the late William M. Harrington. William "Curly" Harrington moved the family to Dover when he purchased a 300-acre farm near Kitts Hummock.

She was a 1953 graduate of Dover High School.

After graduation she began her banking career as a teller at Farmers Bank. She worked in the Collections Department at Wilmington Trust, Rodney Square, retiring in 1997 after 191/2 years of service. She also worked part-time as a sales associate at JCPenney, Prices Corner for 16 years.

Mrs. Harris was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her mother, Myrtle I. Harrington; her husband of 20 years, Paul Harris, of Salem, N.J.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Denise Holt of Bear and Daniel Holt of Middletown; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Virginia and Bob Kooker and Betty and Earl Fath, all of Dover; a brother, Frankie Biondi of Dover; two granddaughters, Taylor Holt and Morgan Holt, both of Bear; three nieces and two nephews.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S State St., Dover, DE 19901.
