MILLSBORO - Doris Baker Mitchell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Harbor Health Care in Lewes.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Farmington to the late Charles and Lillian (Walker) Baker on July 27, 1925.
Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed doing ceramics and needle work.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Elwood Mitchell, Sr.; son, Mack Elwood Mitchell Jr.; daughter, Bonnie Boyce; and daughter-in-law, Melanie Mitchell.
She is survived by her son, Jay Mitchell and his wife, Colette; sister, Cora Westrom; brother, Lloyd Baker and his wife Dot; son-in-law, Wayne Boyce; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She will rest peacefully alongside her beloved husband, Sgt. M. E. Mitchell, who served in the Ninth Air Force, USAAF. A private graveside service will be held at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Doris's memory can be made to: Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
