Doris A. Dehorty

SMYRNA - Doris A. Dehorty, of Smyrna, formerly of Townsend, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Health Center. She was 84. She was born in Providence, Md., the daughter of the late James and Reta King. She worked at Leed's Travelwear and retired from Smyrna Day Nursery. She enjoyed cooking, word puzzles, being outdoors, playing bingo at Pinnacle, but most of all, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Dehorty Sr.; a daughter, Nancy P. Harrah; and five brothers and sisters. Mrs. Dehorty is survived by two daughters, Jean Diane Guy of Dover, and Barbara H. Knox (Marvin) of Smyrna; three grandchildren, Melissa White (James) of Dover, Eric C. Harrah of Dover, and Melanie Heinefield of Smyrna; three great-granddaughters, Jessica White of Dover, Corissa White of Valdosta, Ga., and Ashlee Heinefield of Smyrna; two great-great- granddaughters, Jaelynn Walker and Morgan White; and one brother, David King (Joan) of Elkton, Md.
