BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Doretha Ann Flowers, 60, of Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Lewes, died July 25, 2011, in Tulsa, Okla., after a sudden illness. Doretha was born Feb. 7, 1951, to Herbert Middleton and the late Gladys R. Dunning in Norththumberland County, Va. Doretha completed her high school in Lewes and graduated from Del Tech College, with a degree in nursing. She later moved to Broken Arrow, Okla., making it her home, where she joined the NAACP, RHEMA Church, and Kenneth Hagin Ministries working to be a full time minister of the gospel. She is survived by two daughters, Elvert Neice Flowers of Bryan, Texas, and Deanna F. Mickle of Dover; two sons, Ronald Flowers of Wilmington, and Donald Flowers of Seaford; father, Herbert Middleton of Edwardsville, Va.; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Bernard Flowers of Millsboro, William Dunning of Lincoln, Anthony Flowers of Salisbury, Darryl Dunning of Milton, and Curtis Weldon of Heathville, Va.; and three sisters, Thelma Cottrell of Reedville, Va., Patricia Dunning of Lincoln, and Pamela Dunning of Lincoln. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, where friends may call two hour prior.
