WILLARDS, Md. - Donna Rae Parker of Willards passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 51.
Mrs. Parker was born June 23, 1955, in Salisbury, daughter of the late Aubrey and Carrie (Truitt) Dennis.
She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Parsonsburg.
Mrs. Parker enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets, playing bingo, horseback riding, spending time with friends and family and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara McBroom; and three nieces, Seena Ann, Dee Dee and Wendy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale "Duke" Parker Jr.; two sons, Leroy Dennis and his wife Michelle of Laurel, Del., and Dale W. Parker and his wife Cindy of Gumboro, Del.; a daughter, Heather Mumford and her husband Aaron of Willards; two brothers, William Dennis of Delmar and Tom Dennis of Georgetown, Del.; four sisters, Charlotte "Teenie" Truitt of Whaleysville, Brenda Quillen and Sharon Brittingham, both of Georgetown, and Cindy Outten of Salisbury; eight grandchildren, Kayla, Keili, Lexis, Layne, Kole, Evan, Taylor and Jackson; and 14 nieces and nephews, Becky, Angel, Chris, Horace, Mike, Ricky, William, Mark, Charles, William, Beth, Dawn, Joni and Mike Jr.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be in Truitt Cemetery, Powellville.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Coastal Hospice by the Lake, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
