DOVER - Donna C. Warren, 63, of Dover passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the Delaware Hospice Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born the daughter of Doris Bolan Cole and the late Charles (Dick) Cole. Donna was a 1971 graduate of Dover High School. In 1979, she married her beloved husband, John W. Warren, and together, they began a beautiful marriage that would last for the next 36 years. She was a loving and devoted wife. Until her illness, Donna worked for the State of Delaware, Division of Corporations where she made many friends. Home was important to Donna. She loved the home that she and her husband built and took great pride in it. She had a love for antiques much like her mother and her grandmother before her. She took pleasure in decorating her home, especially for every season and holiday, which she made special year after year. She also enjoyed reading a good book on the beach or beside her pool. Donna had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her cat and dog (Blue and Jazz). Her biggest pleasures came from family and friends. She especially adored her three nieces and often doted upon them. She was truly a special person who was loved and will be missed by many. She is survived by her caring and loving husband, John W. Warren; her mother, Doris B. Cole of Dover; a sister, Dayle Bennett of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Rick Cole of Marydel, Md. and, Bruce Cole (Debra), of Dover; and three nieces, Shelby, Sage and Sarah. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
