HARTLY - Donald Wingard Ennis passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at Kent General Hospital.
Donnie was born July 8, 1965, in Dover, Delaware to Joyce Wingard Ennis and the late Laurence Richard Ennis, Jr.
He worked for Byler Store Warehouse. Donnie had raced micro midget and URC sprint cars and was a very good racer. He was a member of the Black Bird Micro Midget Club and URC Sprint Car Club. He enjoyed gardening and loved his daughter.
In addition to his father; he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jean Ennis.
Donnie is survived by his mother, Joyce Ennis of Hartly; daughter, Georgeanna Lauren Ennis of Hartly; and brother, Laurence Richard Ennis, III of Hampstead, N.C.
Memorial services will be held, 12 Noon, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses.
