Donald Wayne Sammons, 50
GEORGETOWN - Donald Wayne Sammons, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 50.
Donnie was born June 1, 1957, in Milford, son of Thelma Ann (Scarbary) Sammons and the late Donald Irvin Sammons.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Donnie retired on disability in 1997.
He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Jeff Gordon.
Donnie enjoyed collecting various items.
He was always jovial and never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, where friends may call beginning at 1 p.m.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
Pastor Roderic Dufour will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation of the Delaware Valley, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, PA 19106; or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
