SEAFORD - Donald Lee Tunis "Tunafish" passed away on Nov. 5, 2018 at Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lewes, he is the son of the late Frank and Dorlena Tunis.
Donald was retired from Southern States in Seaford where he had worked for over 35 years. He was also a poultry grower, representing Allen's Hatchery for Mr. Dale Boyce and milked cows for Ockels Dairy Farm. Donald loved to eat, but most of all he had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make the people around him laugh. Years ago, he was a referee for many high school basketball games in Sussex County. Donald also could be found dressing up as Santa Clause during the Christmas season for the local children in the community.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 West Market Street, Laurel, DE 19956. Pastor Dean Perdue will officiate.
