Donald Gordon Coker

Donald was born Dec. 18, 1961 in Dover, to the late Donald Coker, Sr. and Harriett Morgan Everett.
He worked at Fleischer's Bakery in Dover, for 30 years, until he had to retire. Donald was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Dover. He enjoyed listening to gospel music, country music, and Native American music. Donald enjoyed going to Spence's Sale, Native American Indian Pow Wows, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy Newman Coker of Cheswold; daughter, Leslie A. Newman of Little Creek; sisters, Pam Kirby of Dover, Lisa Quillen of Felton, and Megan Timmer of Laurel; brother, Michael Coker of Dover; grandchildren, Destinee and Isaiah Newman; numerous nieces; and nephews; and a very good friend of the family, Missy Mohr.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – day Saints, 237 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will be private.
Flowers or donations, may be made to, the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
