Donald Ferguson

FELTON - Donald Ferguson, of Felton, died Wed., Nov. 10, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 78. He is the son of the late Clyde and Helen Feldman Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Ferguson and his wife of 30 years, Ruth Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson served in the United State Marine Corps as a Corporal of the 1st Marines and was a Korean War Vet. He also worked with the State of Delaware Department of Corrections prior to retirement. He loved the outdoors, working in his wood shop making crafts, railroad trains, creating waterfalls and fish ponds. His is survived by six children, Donna of Lott, Texas, Denice of Middletown, Diane of Elkhart, Texas, Dorothy of Middletown, David of North East, Md. and William of West Chester, Pa.; five step-children, Virginia and Eileen, both of Wyoming, Dianne and Ruth, both of Camden, and John of Hartly; 15 Grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Sat. Nov. 13, 2010, at Berry Short Funeral Home, Main Street Felton, where friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to the DE Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE. 19963.
