Donald C. Walters, 73

MILLSBORO - Donald C. Walters of Millsboro died Monday, March 26, 2007, in his home surrounded by his family. He was 73.

He was born on March 25, 1934, in Possum Point, son of the late Donald and Mabel (Hudson) Moore.

Mr. Walters had served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force retiring after 22 years.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, soft-shell crabbing, going to the Delmar drag races and was a NASCAR fan, especially of Jeff Gordon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Walters, Dec. 1, 2006.

He is survived by his children, Cheryl L. Waibel and her husband, Paul of Wilmington and Donald C. Walters Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Millsboro; a half-sister, Linda Traverse of Wilmington; and grandchildren, Melissa A. Walters, Crystal L. Walters both of Millsboro, Lindsay M. Waibel and Rebecca A. Waibel both of Wilmington.

Services will be noon Monday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour before services.

Burial with full military honors will follow in the Henlopen Memorial Park, Del. 1, Milton.
