Donald B. Weiford Jr.

Weiford, Jr., 65 DOVER - Donald B. Weiford, Jr. of Dover passed away, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at home. He was 65. Mr. Weiford was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Donald Weiford, Sr. and Mary Hall Weiford. He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years retiring as a MSGT in 1990, after his military career he went to work for the USDA as a Procurement Specialist, retiring in 2011 after 19 years. Mr. Weiford was a member of the Ham Radio Club, in Dover. He enjoyed watching western movies, fishing, Ham Radio's, collecting coins, and eating out. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Rose Ann Weiford in 1980; brother, Stanley; and sister, Gloria. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Loretta Daly Weiford of Dover; son, Donald B. Weiford, III of Dover; brother, William Weiford and his wife Linda of Dundalk, Md.; sister, JoAnne Weiford of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren, Donald IV, Darren and Donovan Weiford. Memorial services and interment will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Compassionate Hospice Care. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
