HARRINGTON - Donald A. Kvedrowicz passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 54. Donald was born Dec. 16, 1959 in Nanticoke, Pa. to the late Anthony Kvedrowicz and Carol Ann Gogola Zahner. He had worked as an equipment operator and laborer for Nanticoke Homes and Color Box in Harrington. He enjoyed coaching baseball, hunting, fishing, cooking, barbequing especially spending time with his grandchildren, and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Zahner. Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Shockley of Harrington; son, Matthew and his wife Amber, of Farmington; daughter, Toni Marie Weathers and her husband Michael, of North Pole, Alaska; sister, Christine Hessenkemper and her husband Charles, of Brick, N.J.; grandchildren, Logan, Chloe, Johnny, Patricia and one more on the way; mother and father-in-law, William and Joyce Shockley of Harrington; sister and brother-in-law, Stoney and Crystal Yerkes of Harrington; nieces, Ashley Hessenkemper and her fiancé, Josh Grossman, Amber Hessenkemper and her boyfriend, Angelio DiPrimo; nephew, Brandon Yerkes and his girlfriend, Tara Morris; cousins, Michelle, Gary, Taylor, and Chris Gugliotti from Pennslyvania, and Ozzie the cat. A Memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, DE. Family requests casual dress. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
