Donald A. Cooper

Donald A. Cooper, 82 CAMDEN - Donald A. Cooper, 82, of Camden, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, in Kent General Hospital. He was born on Jan. 14, 1928, in Dover, son of the late Arley and Minnie Cooper. Donald served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his family farm, he retired from the Delaware State Police with 33 years as supervisor of fleet maintenance. Donald was a Dallas Cowboy fan and a member of the Diamond State Beagle Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Cooper in 1996. He is survived by his son, Dennis Cooper of Camden; granddaughter, Krystal Cooper of Harrington; two brothers, Jack Cooper of Milton, and Arlie Cooper of Dover; two sisters, Rosie Livingston of Lugoff and Doris Fones of Camden-Wyoming; and his companion Joann Cooper of Dover. Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather starting at 11:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
