GREENWOOD - Dolly D. Meredith, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, at Christiana Hospital in Newark. She was 74. Dolly was born in Ridgley, Md. on February 16, 1937, the daughter of Merle and Florence Smith Wilhelm. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence, Frank, Merle, Charles, and William Wilhelm. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas C. Meredith; three daughters, Eleanor Calhoun of Milford, Shirley Travers of Greenwood, and Carol Martin of Seaford; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Anna Pinder of Felton, Louise Kulhanck of Dover, Mary Ann Longfellow of Wyoming, Barbara Hutson of Goldsboro, Md, Hazel Longfellow of Milford, and Florence Sewell of Greensboro, Md; and a brother James C. Wilhelm of Frederica. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood. Viewing will be private. Interment will be held at Wesley Church Cemetery in Burrsville, MD.
