Diantha Feaster

DOVER - Diantha 'Danny' Feaster, died Fri., Jan. 14, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. She was 87. She was born in 1923, in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Clarence W. Geer and Martha Smith Geer. Mrs. Feaster served in the WAVES from 1944 to 1947. She received a degree in economics from the University of Vermont and worked as a tax consultant and bookkeeper. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and needlepoint, sailing and traveling with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John "Jack" Feaster, Jan. 13. 2011. Mrs. Feaster is survived by sons, John Feaster, Jr. and wife Laura of Chesapeake City, Md, David Feaster and wife Suzanne of Landenberg, Pa, James Feaster of Millsboro, and Dan Feaster and wife Anita of Salisbury, Md; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held noon, Thurs., Jan. 20, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
