Diane Jenkins Scarlett

MILLSBORO - Diane Jenkins Scarlett, of Millsboro, went to be with the Lord Nov. 27, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind husband, Harold Scarlett Jr.; son, Harold Scarlett III (wife Danielle) of North Carolina; daughter, Jessica Morgan (husband Drew) of New Jersey; grandson, Trevor Scarlett of New Hampshire. Also surviving are sisters, Mary Dobson (Pa), Penny Savage (NJ) brothers, Jackie (NJ) David (NC), Ronnie (NJ), and numerous nieces, nephews and other immediate family. Preceded her in death are parents, William and Sarah Jenkins (NJ); sister, Doris McMillan; (NC); and brother, William (Billy), and Jenkins (NJ). Diane was born into a set of triplets on Dec. 16, 1948, in North Plainfield, N.J. There she married, raised her family, and retired to Delaware at Captains Grant. Her zeal for life was returned in kind by her Community. She was an avid bowler and member of the Early Birds whom she adored. Our appreciation to all those mentioned for the love and support given to Diane, Our thanks to the Delaware Hospice family for the care given. Donations may be given to the Delaware Hospice in her memory. Our loss is Heaven gain, though she's gone from our arms, she's forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 219 South Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Arrangements are be handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro.
