Dewey F. Wilson Sr., 76 MILLINGTON, MD - Dewey F. Wilson Sr., died Thursday, October 8, 2009, in the Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown, Md. He was 76. Mr. Wilson was born in Centreville, Md., the son of the late Charles and Blanch Mogel Wilson. Mr. Wilson worked as a Heavy Equipment operator for the Mark Lang Construction Company of Millersville, Md. for 30 years. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Wilson loved to garden, especially tomatoes, and enjoyed canning and preserving the vegetables for the year. He loved his family and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Mr. Wilson was also a great story teller and enjoyed making people laugh, country music and working on anything mechanical or motorized. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Wilson Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Christine Grimes Wilson; two daughters, Wanda Lee Butts of Millington, Md., and Brenda Clements of Harrington; two sons, Bruce Wayne Wilson of Centreville, Md., and David G. Wilson of Millington, Md.; sister, Martha Belle Porter of Dover; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, Md., where friends and family may call on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Crumpton Cemetery following the services.
