Delonia Marylene Lindsey, 42

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Delonia Marylene Lindsey of Chestertown died, after a long illness, Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, in Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 42.

Mrs. Lindsey was born March 2, 1964, daughter of Delonia M. Cooper of Butlertown and William A. Black Sr. of Morgnec.

She worked at various jobs, Allen Foods, Campbell"s Soup Inc. and Action Cleaning, and then, ventured out on her own with her own cleaning business, Dee"s Cleaning Service.

She was loved by many family, friends and co-workers, and her customers. She always made sure she was the best she could be, no matter what she was doing, as wife, mother, sister or friend. She loved her family and was a proud grandmother.

Mrs. Lindsey also was proud the day she turned her life over to Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lindsey Sr. of Georgetown; two sons, Terry Lindsey Jr. of Rock Hall and Derwin Lindsey of Butlertown; two daughters, Kanika Lindsey and Kanesia Lindsey, both of Georgetown; her parents, Delonia M. Cooper of Butlertown and William A. Black Sr. of Morgnec; her stepmother, Paulette Black of Morgnec; a granddaughter, Unique Lindsey of Butlertown; six siblings, William A. Black of Church Hill, Leanna Macer of Sandy Bottom, Samuel Black of Fairlee, and Lacira Black, Elon Black and Shamyra Black, all of Morgnec; two sisters-in-law, Denise Lindsey of Laurel and Alicia Wilson of Pondtown; three brothers-in-law, George Macer, Randy Lindsey and David Wilson, all of Pondtown; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Randolph and Shirley Lindsey of Quaker Neck.

Services will be 1 p.m. today in Asbury United Methodist Church, Chestertown, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Lawrence Purnell will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
