Delno R. "Ted" Horner Jr., 76

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Delno R. "Ted" Horner Jr., of Mechanicsburg, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was 76.

Mr. Horner was born in Johnstown on Oct. 19, 1930, the son of the late Delno R. and Lilly Fern (Parker) Horner.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

Mr. Horner owned and operated Ted Horner and Sons House Moving.

He was a volunteer for Special Olympics and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Mechanicsburg Post 6704 and was a former member of the Kiwanis Club.

Mr. Horner was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and boating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theda Horner; a brother, James; and a sister, Nellie.

Mr. Horner is survived by a sister, Adeline A. Taranto of Johnstown.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the St. John"s Cemetery
