GEORGETOWN — Delmarva Christian Schools opened the 2023-24 academic year with a record 570 students in pre-K through 12th grades.

New Student Orientation Day and a Back to School BBQ was held Aug. 15 and marked the initiation for incoming high school students and their families. The official return to the Georgetown campus took place Aug. 16.

For pre-K to eighth grade students, there was a gathering Aug. 21, which featured complimentary Kona Ice and opportunities for students to connect with their educators.

“With a student population that has reached our schools’ historic high of 570 and a dynamic team of over 90 staff members, including 11 new additions, nurturing and safeguarding a school culture deeply rooted in pursuing Jesus, discovering his unique callings and fostering genuine care for one another remains central to our identity as an exceptional Christian school,” said head of schools Matt Kwiatkowski.
