Delmarva Christian School celebrates 20 years of excellence, major campaign milestone

Posted

Delmarva Christian School recently hosted its 20th Anniversary Banquet with more than 400 guests at Delmarva Christian High School.

The evening was a reflection on the school’s mission, past achievements, and a look ahead highlighting the Stronger Together Campaign and future one-campus building project.

Guests were treated to a worship performance by a choir composed of Delmarva Christian alumni and current students. Alumni performers led by Layne Morris (Class of 2019) included Amaya Wright (2019), Micah Magee (2016), Aaron Webster (2021), Lewis Gebhart (2007), Lily Fetterman (2023), Rob Van Pelt (2012), Bryant Hazzard (2007), Andrew Hazzard (2011), and Jeremy Ross (2006).

The banquet also featured a Portrait of a Graduate Panel, where Delmarva Christian’s Head of School, Matt Kwiatkowski, led a discussion with accomplished alumni. Panelists included Olive Tempest (Class of 2017), Shawn McCullough (2016), Alex Hazzard (2005), Andrew Hazzard (2011), Caleb McFarlin (2018), and Megan Bowlin (2013).

“This celebration of 20 years would not have been possible without the dedication of our community, who have come together to honor God’s faithfulness and pave the way for an exciting future. We are truly blessed to witness such incredible generosity and unity as we move forward,” said Mr. Kwiatkowski.

The Stronger Together Campaign, designed to unify Delmarva Christian School’s students from elementary to high school on a single campus, has received significant community backing, bringing the school’s dream closer to fruition.

“It was an absolute honor to look back and celebrate 20 years of God's faithfulness at Delmarva Christian School, and to witness firsthand the miracles that have shaped our journey,” said Justin Savini, Delmarva Christian Schools Director of Advancement.

“This event was not just a reflection on our past but a powerful glimpse into the future as we announced to over 400 guests the incredible progress of our Stronger Together Campaign. In just 27 months, God has moved hearts to provide more than $27.5 million in support for our upcoming one-campus building project. We are in awe of His provision and deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our community as we continue to advance the mission of Delmarva Christian School. God is truly at work here.”
