
Delmar John Dudasik, 83
SMYRNA, DE - Delmar John Dudasik passed away on December 20, 2022 at Bayhealth, Dover, DE.
Delmar grew up in Hartly, DE one of four children to the late John F. Dudasik and Teresa M. (Nacincik) Dudasik. He graduated from Smyrna High School in 1957. After graduation he began his career with the State of Delaware in their Materials and Research Department. He worked there for 43 years until his retirement.
Delmar was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed many race trips with his wife Joyce. He enjoyed traveling, including his favorite trips to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, and loved traveling by train especially stream engines. He also had an extensive train collection.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Weller Dudasik; sister, Veronica Harper; nephew, John Marshall (Donna); and sister in law, Linda Weller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Marshall and husband John Marshall Sr.; sister, Carolyn Meyers and husband George Meyers; brother in law, Charles Harper; and brother in law, Melvin Weller.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna DE. Services and Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery, Dover DE at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York NY 10163.
