Delma B. Bowden

LAUREL - Delma B. Bowden, of Laurel went home to be the our Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford surrounded by her family. She was 86. Delma was born on July 20, 1925, in Cambridge, Md., the daughter of Clarence and Lola Huffman Abbott. She was a member of Lifeway Church of God in Bridgeville. Delma enjoyed traveling, and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ervin in 1994; a brother, and two sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Lena Smith, Sandy and her husband Robert Kennedy, and Bonnie and her husband Ronald Pritchett all of Laurel; her son, Ervin Jr. and his wife Donna Bowden, of Delmar, Md.; five grandchildren, Pete, Candy, Sean, Derek, and Andrew; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and six brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lifeway Church of God, 7046 Seashore Hwy, Bridgeville. Friends may call one hour earlier. Interment will be held at Bridgeville Cemetery. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
