Deborah Ryan-Boor, 51

DOVER - Deborah Ryan-Boor, of Dover, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, surrounded by her loving family. She was 51. She was born Jan. 31, 1958, in Hollywood, Fla., daughter of Carmela Ryan and the late William Ryan. Deborah was employed with the State of Delaware with the Division of Health and Social Services, Rehabilitation Services for the past 31 years. She will be lovingly remembered for her intense love of life, her home and family. She enjoyed collecting antiques. She loved caring for her home, sharing her life with family and friends, and traveling. Deborah also enjoyed trips to the Theater on Broadway. Deborah's life, although short, was blessed with her family, especially the love of her life, John. Deborah and John shared a very special relationship with complete love and devotion. They were inseparable and in their love grew to become best friends. In addition to John, she is also survived by her loving mother, Carmela Ryan of Dover; a brother, Patrick Ryan and his wife Georgia of Seaford; two sisters who were important to her and whom she talked to every day, Eileen Beebe and her husband Craig of Frederica, and Barbara Webb and her husband Michael of Newark; brother-in-law, Jeff Boor; sister-in-law, Christy Pratt and her husband John; mother-in-law, Sandrah Jean Boor, all of Cumberland, Md.; her special nephews, Ryan, Sean, Eric, and the youngest and the light of her life Owen Parker. She was very dedicated and involved in the lives of her nephews and took great pride in their many accomplishments and special events. She is also survived, many aunts, uncles, and an extended family of friends and co-workers. She had a love for animals, and her babies were her black lab, Belle and cat Max. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice House, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
